The girls painted the play house.
July 2004

The sign on the door reads...

The Poem on the wall reads...

Within the dragons lair
Children beware
For here the dragon dwells.

Don't be scared
But be aware
The dragon loathes
Uncaring sounds.

(I originally wrote uncaring souls, which I prefer but one of the girls' friends said she preferred sound so I painted over souls and wrote sounds)

The girls also tie died the curtains on the windows and door, we also did some batik, melting bees wax and candle wax together.  Athena and Ish did the garden on the north wall.  Athena did little blue dots from flower to flower where the bee traveled.  Ish drew forest green heart shaped leaves for the tree... while Thelema with a little help from Athena did the dragon.  I drew the dragon outline in charcoal then Thelema sponged paint on the body for texture and colour.  It took us 2 days of painting and one afternoon of tie-dieing.  It was fun, and our reward is this nice room to enjoy.
