An Inner Vacation for IT junkies.

    Once a year, I like to pick a game... and play it till I finish.  I become obsessed.  Like a Man Possessed.

    Why you ask..  Would I take up to a week on a single game... once a year?  Putting all work, family, friends aside?

    To immerse myself into pure logic.  To retrain my brain.  To respond quickly, without thought, with the correct action.

    The world of 'IT (Internet Technology)'  is a fast one.   With new technology coming out every week.  Those of us that work in the IT field are expected to not only know the present technology but past as well.   Add to this being able to 'Grok' all new technology and help "seamlessly integrate it into existing technology's".  Oh and let's not forget help desk... with some companies demanding a 15min turn around on any "complications that come up".   And maybe you can see where a game once a year would help even more then say taking a vacation.  Nothing like dose of pure logic, to be fresh.  And continue to amaze them back at your office.
