The Queen of the Thrones of the Waters

"Queen of Cups"

Queen of Cups.  This is the passive and receptive quality of water.   She is almost invisible as she is enveloped by shadowy reflections.

Watery part of Water, or its power of reflection and reception.  She is enthroned on still water, and carries a shell-like Cup containing a cray-fish.  In her other hand she holds the Lotus of Isis.

Represents the watery part of water.  A woman who reflects the nature of the observer, dreamy, tranquil, poetic, imaginative, kind yet not willing to take much trouble for another.  She is much affected by surrounding influences, therefore more dependent than most other cards on good or ill dignity.
