Full Moon Ritual
The Point candles should not yet be lit, just one in the North to represent the
moon (White candle). Using a newly made broom out of a staff and dried grasses, go around the circle
starting at the North then EAST, South, West, and back to North saying: With this broom I sweep away all
influences that would disrupt our circle. Come back to where you started saying: The
circle has now been swept clean of all worldly influences. Place broom at foot of alter rise saying: So Mote It Be! next go around
and light all point candles North, East, South, West then go back to the alter ground and centre yourself pick up cup in right hand
saying: Blessed be thou creature of water. Pick up salt in your left hand saying: Blessed be thou creature of earth. Hold both up
to sky with arms outstretched feeling the power flow into them say:
Salt and Water
Inner and Outer
Soul and Body
Be cleansed!
Cast out ALL that is harmful!
Take in ALL that is good and healing!
By the power of the Mother of ALL life,
And her lover the Horned God,
SO MOTE IT BE!
Place them both down on the alter. Pick up Athame saying: Blessed be thou creature of Art. Then using Athame put three
measures of salt into the water and stir it counterclockwise saying: May this Athame be purified, and may these tools and this
alter be purified. Shake a few drops of the salt water over the alter and salute Earth and Sky
saying: in the names of Life and Death, so mote it be!
Cast Circle:
start north
Hail guardians of the watchtowers of the North, powers of Earth,
cornerstone of all power. WE invoke you and call you, lady of the Outer Darkness, Black Bull of midnight, North Star, centre
of the whirling sky. Stone, Mountain, Fertile Field, come! By the Earth that is her body, Send forth your strength, be here now!
with salt and water I purify the North (shake a few drops of water in the direction of North ) with fire and air I charge the North (
using incense wave across the direction of North ). Continue to the East sprinkling water around the outer
perimeter of the circle as you go.
Hail guardians of the watchtowers of the East, powers of Air!
we invoke you and call you, Golden Eagle of the dawn, Star-seeker, Whirlwind, Rising Sun, Come! By the Air that is her breathe, send
forth your light, Be here now! With salt and water, I purify the East! ( shake a few drops in the direction of East ) With fire and
air I charge the East ( using incense wave across the direction of East ).continue South all the while shaking water along the outer
edge of the circle having the person carrying the incense behind you doing the same.
Hail, guardians of the watchtowers of the South, powers of Fire! We invoke you and call you, Red Lion of the noon heat,
flaming one! Summer's wealth, spark of life, Come! By the fire that is her spirit, send forth your flame, be here now! With salt
and water, I purify the South! With fire and air, I charge the South! Continue West
Hail, guardians of the watchtowers of the West, powers of water! We invoke you and call you, serpent of the watery abyss,
Rainmaker, Gray-robed Twilight, Evening Star! By the waters of her living womb, send forth your flow, Be here now! With salt and
water, I purify the West! With fire and air I charge the West!
Go back to the alter salute the Sky and Earth turn to the coven
say:
The circle is cast.
We are between the worlds,
Beyond the bounds of time,
Where night and day,
Birth and Death,
Joy and Sorrow,
Meet as one.
Light the remaining candles saying: The fire is lit.
The ritual is begun.
Start a kiss around the circle saying: In perfect love and perfect trust we meet. Now having purified and consecrated the
circle have everyone sit in a circle and feel the power and pulse of the Earth. Now say: To truly feel the power of the moon I want
us to do a meditation. clasp hands and slowly breathe out and now slowly breathe in now continue breathing in this fashion feel your
whole body slowly relaxing stay in the position that you're in but feel relaxed now feel the moon can you see her? Focus your mind's
eye on the moon see her feel her energy, feel the evenings breeze on your face now with your mind's eye look around you you're no
longer inside the house but outside in a deep forest in a meadow feel the breeze on your body and look up see the moon above you
now see that it is slowly moving closer and closer feel the wind rising as it clears away all worldly influences, now your feeling
lighter and you realize that you are no longer in your body. Look around you see that you are no longer in the forest in fact you
are no longer on Earth, you are in a special place where no mere mortal dwells you are in the lands of the Goddess and the God and
that they are at this moment communing with us. Let there be silence as the coven meditates on this all the while deep
breathing. This is a time of fullness, the flood tide of power, when the lady in full circle of brightness rides across the night
sky, arising with the coming of dark. This is the time of the bearing of fruits, of change realized. The Great Mother, Nurturer
of the world, which is Herself, pours out her love and her gifts in abundance. The hunter draws near to the Brillant one; She who
awakens yearning in the heart and who is the ending of desire. We who look on her shining face are filled with love. Merry meet.
Now have the coven relax into a comfortable sitting position if they are
feeling any discomfort. Continue: Thus having set ourselves from the world we now call on Babalon to purify and
consecrate our rites, and we also call on Horus may he witness our rites. So mote it be!
Have each person in turn stand in the centre of the circle and give their name. Have the others visualize : Remember the
energies called upon tonight, feel them all gather together feel the Earth's pulse and power rising being joined by the wind's
whirling around abd joining it is the moon feel her light and ever changing flow like waves coming together now it is joined by the
fire of Babalon and the vitality of Horus. Feel them all circle round and round ever growing as it passes from you to the person
on your right. Feel the cone growing within our circle now it is slowly moving tighter and tighter as the energy is consentrated
more and more toward the person in the centre continue the chanting of the name and now see that the energy is not surronding
the person in the centre but is the person in the centre see how they glow and give off power as the coven realizes that the person
in the centre is all the energies raised tonight. Do this for each person. When each has their turn in the centre then clasp hands
again and do more deep breathing and relaxation then in your mind's eye place the Earth in the centre of the circle and now
again raise the energy of the Earth, Wind, Moon, Babalon, Horus, etc. and now using the ball of fire that is inside each of us
combine them all together and see the earth being cleansed by the fire that we've created and slowly feel the powers slowly being
grounded see the Earth now it is now a little cleaner, a little purer, a little more healed for your having helped it. Now slowly
feel the energy calm not leave just calm. Now breathe deeply relax say: We thank all those who came and aided us in our rites
and thank thee for thy presence. Babalon blessed fire we bid thee to remain in our hearts so that when we depart our circle a little
of thy fire stays in our hearts forever cleansing us.
Horus blessed child of the Gods may we upon leaving this temple continus to keep the child within us forever free and
playful and full of thy vitality.
Cleansing rushing wind that protected us and cleansed our souls, hearts, and minds, may we always remember that to call thee
is to help better ourselves.
Moon ever changing and flowing yet constant may we have thy ability to change and shift with new situations as life's
experiences try us and test us and make us strong.
Mother Earth may we continue to to heal and nurture you as you have done for us so often in the past.
We are now slowly, ever so gently coming back from our world between heaven and earth and are once again in the forest meadow
beneath the moon look one last time on her shining radiance before it is time to return. Now slowly feel your self returning to the
house and this temple and now feel your body once more. Now slowly breathing deeply become once again aware of your
surroundings, but realize that they have changed a little they are a little cleaner
a little more energized as we have brought back a little of the energy with us .

Return back to alter and raise Athame to the sky and then touch earth open arms and say:
The circle is open but unbroken,
May the peace of the Goddess
Go in your hearts
Merry meet, and Merry part
And Merry meet again.

Now pass wine and cakes to be enjoyed before leaving. Then as each leaves stand at door and send them out with a kiss.
